Lunar Eclipse

A total lunar eclipse will be visible on the East Coast just before 2 am Tuesday. North America should be able to view the entire show, which is expected to last 3 and a half hours if skies are clear. The total eclipse begins at 1:41 am Tuesday. The totality phase (when the moon is entirely inside Earth's shadow) will last a little over an hour. This is the only total eclipse of the moon this year and coincides with our study of the earth, moon, and sun! Happy viewing!!
